The Songuo delegation visited Cameroon from October 31 to November 3 at the invitation of the Prime Minister's Office of the Republic of Cameroon. During this jounery, the delegation met with several officials, including the Prime Minister, the Minister of Transport, and the Minister of Finance, to engage in friendly and pragmatic discussions regarding project cooperation, culminating in the signing of relevant agreements.
Cameroon, as one of the founding countries of the African Union, plays a significant role in the political and economic landscape of Africa, particularly in the sub-Saharan region. As a member of the Central African Economic and Monetary Community, Cameroon holds a substantial share of the community's overall economic output, establishing itself as a political and economic powerhouse in Central Africa.
Regarding project cooperation, the Minister of Transport stated, "First, we will import vehicles and tricycles, followed by the establishment of an assembly plant. This project underwent a month-long testing phase in our department, during which we were able to assess the durability and quality of these vehicles and tricycles. The maturity of all conditions has led us to propose this project to the government." Songuo is actively involved in improving public transportation in Cameroon by manufacturing vehicles with new materials and technologies, thereby providing various types of vehicles that enhance convenience for the public and logistics. Currently, one taxi and four tricycles, including a tricycle taxi, have completed national registration in Cameroon and are now operational on the roads.
"In fact, the existing public transport vehicles are increasingly unsafe, generally of poor quality, and contribute significantly to pollution. Songuo's products also feature integrated video surveillance systems and e-payment options," the national television reported. The news coverage of the Songuo project was broadcast in both English and French on November 2 at 19:30 and 20:30, respectively.
