SONGUO Business Delegation is invited to Visit Pakistan

From August 26th to 30th, SONGUO Motors Business Delegation was invited to visit Pakistan. The delegation met and had friendly and pragmatic round of talks with Chairman/ General Anwar Ali Khan, Minister / Chairman Zubair Gilani, Malik Amin Aslam, the Minister, Major General Amer Aslam Khan and Minister Muhammed Ali Iqbal, Leaders from the Prime Minister's Office of Pakistan, Investment Committee of the Prime Minister's Office, Pakistan Housing and Development Agency, Ministry of Government Information Technology and Telecommunications, Federal Ministry of Climate Change.

 


As a staunch friend of China, Pakistan is the first Islamic country to establish diplomatic relations with the People’s Republic of China with a long-term, all-weather and multi-faceted development of friendly relations." Chinese netizens call it "iron brotherhood." With a population of about 197 million, Pakistan is the sixth most populous country in the world and one of the developing countries with rapid economic growth. It is a member of the World Trade Organization, the Organization of the Islamic Conference, the Group of 77, the Non-Aligned Movement and the Commonwealth of Nations.

 


Both Parties have conducted in-depth communication on the transportation, energy, especially the infrastructures of the SONGUO new energy vehicle, the SONGUO Battery Swapping System (BSS) and the new energy vehicle from the cooperation mode to the industrial policy.

Official Pakistani media reported that with the launch of the ambitious electrical vehicle (EV) policy, SONGUO Motors would establish a (battery) swapping system infrastructure in Pakistan.

Malik Amin Aslam, Federal Minister of Climate Change, said the proposal is ready and will be submitted to the federal cabinet within a week.

“With the approval of the Federal Cabinet, the project and policy will open up new opportunities in the transportation and environmental sectors, creating a large number of green job opportunities,” the minister said. Initially Pakistan needs to provide a replaceable solution for EV vehicles until charging infrastructures are developed appropriately. The minister said that the policy and projects will benefit local companies, and the timing of investment in electric vehicles in the Pakistani market is ripe. Before the establishment of more charging infrastructures, the replaceable battery solution is a suitable choice for the Pakistani market, especially for tricycles and low-speeding vehicles. SONGUO will also help the Pakistani government set standards for this newly developed technology.

 


In addition to Attock Petroleum Group, Lahore Gas and Petroleum Corporation, the SONGUO delegation had also conducted fruitful business meetings and signed relevant cooperation agreements with the large town development group RENAISSANCE GROUP, the National Fund LGNITE, EMAAN Bank, Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), and Pakistan's largest provider of residential and commercial solar systems SKY ELECTRIC Group and other companies, organizations and institutions.

 


The “Belt and Road” is one of the important international policies of President Xi Jinping, including six corridors in two economic belts, of which the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor was first started. Within just a few years, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor has become one of the largest, most significant and successful projects under the “Belt and Road” initiative. According to statistics, the project has created nearly 70,000 job opportunities for Pakistan, and the economic cooperation between the two countries has deepened. The SONGUO Motors, especially the battery swapping system, which will be built as an infrastructure in Pakistan. It is in line with the development initiative of “The Belt and Road” and the concept of President Xi Jinping “Sharing China’s economic development achievements with the world”. The friendly cooperation between SONGUO and organizations, enterprises and institutions in Pskistan will surely promote and achieve mutual benefits and win-win results.
